Social Media Breakfast

If you have never been to a Social Media Breakfast (SMB) you may be wondering what to expect as would most of us.

Most events begin at 8:00AM – introductions start at about 8:10 and the event starts at 8:30

Introductions are where everyone gets to stand up and speak for 60 seconds and give name, industry, interests. (Introduction forms are passed and if you wish your longer introduction will be posted to this website.)

The event consists of welcome, opening statements and breakfast topics while you are finishing your breakfast. This segment usually lasts for about 30 minutes and the topics are generally advertised on the event page.

If there are guest speakers they generally begin around 9AM to 9:15AM and speak for about 15 to 20 minutes allowing about the same for open floor discussion.

We finish at about 10AM but many people stay much longer and discuss. All we ask is that you remember if we are in a restaurant you are taking up the space where other patrons may need to sit.

SMB is very informal. Come as you are – really. If you would go to meet a friend for breakfast at a local restaurant then you would come meet with us.

The cost of the food and beverage is on you unless the event you are attending is sponsored or otherwise provided. Most are not.

Please spend money at the venue if it is in a restaurant or other similar place. The value you get from attending will greatly exceed the cost of your breakfast even if you spend $20 or more. We want the people to speak well of us and welcome us back.
